SwingShift is proud to announce our support with ‘Share the dignity’
https://sharethedignity.com.au/
Share The Dignity, Established in 2015, Share The Dignity provides sanitary products to homeless women as well as those at-risk and experiencing domestic violence. The organisation stages ‘Dignity Drives’ in April and August when it collects sanitary items to be donated to partner charities and an ‘It’s In The Bag’ promotion in November when it collects handbags filled with personal care products for Christmas gifts. It also places free pad and tampon vending machines in schools and public toilets. Share The Dignity believes that no woman should ever have to choose between eating and buying sanitary products and no girl should ever have to miss a day of school because she can’t afford pads and tampons. The vending machines are funded by cash donations and corporate sponsorships.
SwingShift Nurses is starting a collection campaign. This is to collect the essential items for the bags, as unfortunately, not all bags are donated with the minimal essential items each bag needs.
The essential items are:
- Pads
- Tampons
- Shampoo
- Conditioner
- Soap/Body Wash
- Deodorant
- Toothbrush
- Toothpaste
