What made you want to specialise in mental health nursing?

Considering that in mental health nursing, there is always a shortage of mental health nurse, for public and private sectors, these areas of nursing practice is considered to be high demand, thus this could be considered a career for life.

What’s the most rewarding part of your job?

The most rewarding part of my job is when I see the patients whom I have looked after, has recovered and is able to integrate self to the community, able to go back to his/her job, and able to manage self independently.

What advice would you give an aspiring mental health nurse?

  • I would advise and aspiring mental health nurse to go n and peruse their career, an in doing so, she/he could have a career to a wide range of educational opportunities being offered by healthcare institution, having shared values of integrity, compassion, respects and [pursue of excellence.
  • An Aspiring mental health nurse has lots of opportunities to advance his/her career, while working as and agency nurse due to its work flexibility.

I would say that I’ve just found a nursing agency that truly cares, reliable and understand their nursing employees, rest assured I will be staying permanently at SwingShift nurses until I retire 10 to 15 years from now.
